Appointments

All new patients are required to have an intake appointment. This lasts for forty five minutes to an hour. During this time you will have opportunity to speak at length about your health concerns. Your practitioner will do an extensive intake interview covering your medical and social histories as well as a review of your body's systems. After this a brief physical exam will take place, as well as an akabane (heat) treatment.

The intake appointment does not include a needle treatment. Many patients will choose to book their first needle treatment directly after their intake appointment, in order to get started with their healing process. In this case, plan on being at the office for an hour and a half to an hour and forty five minutes.

After the intake appointment has been completed, subsequent visits to the office will generally last forty five to fifty minutes.
